Kerri Marie McEachern, 24, beloved former member of the Altoona Curve Baseball team front office staff, died Mon., May 4, 2009, at her family home in Gilbertsville after a three-month battle with a rare, aggressive form of cancer. Kerri was engaged to be married to former Altoona Curve broadcaster and public relations director Jason Dambach, now the general manager of the State College Spikes. The couple had been planning a fall 2009 wedding. Kerri is survived by her mother, Eileen McEachern; father, Mike McEachern; sisters: Kate and Courtney McEachern; brothers: Michael and Shane McEachern; 40 first cousins; numerous aunts and uncles; and grandparents Ann and Frank Cutter and Mary and John McEachern. Kerri attended St. Aloysius Grade School in Pottstown, where she starred in basketball. She went on to St. Pius X High School, Pottstown, where she and her two sisters, Kate and Courtney, continued to play basketball. She graduated from St. Pius X in 2003 and with honors from Lock Haven University in 2006 with a degree in sports management. While at Lock Haven, she was the president of the Sports Management Committee. After college, she was hired by the Altoona Curve, where she served as a ticket account executive for two seasons ('07-08). Friends will be received at 6 p.m. Thursday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Pottstown. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Church, Pottstown. Burial, Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick.
