The funeral of Gregory W. Augspurger, 48, of 9 Third St., Greenwood Trailer Court, Bloomington, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington. The Rev. David W. Gaffron will officiate. Burial will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery, rural Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the memorial home.

He died at 3 p.m. Saturday (June 3, 2000) at his residence.

Memorials may be made to Heart Spring, in care of Bloomington Barbershoppers; Wesley United Methodist Church; or Cedar Lake Association.

Mr. Augspurger was born Feb. 15, 1952, in Bloomington, the son of Wendell W. and Betty J. Ward Augspurger.

Survivors include his mother, Betty J. Augspurger, 502 Manchester Road, Normal; a brother, Ron Augspurger, Normal; and two sisters, Joyce (David) Schmoeger, Carlock, and Laura (George) Lange, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Also surviving are a niece, Julia Lange, and a nephew, Adam Lange, both of Fort Wayne.

His father preceded him in death.

Greg was a 1970 graduate of Bloomington High School. He was formerly employed as a custodian with District 87 and recently had been working out of Laborers Local 362.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and an active member of the Sound of Illinois Chorus of the Bloomington Barbershoppers for 24 years. He also was active in the Cedar Lake Association.
