SCITUATE Evelyn S. (Patterson) Ferreira, on April 24, 2009 age 86. Loving wife of the late Anthony Bud Ferreira. Devoted Sister of Gilbert Patterson and his wife Patricia of Scituate, Charles Patterson and his wife Eleanor of Marshfield, the late Mary Killeen, Thomas Patterson, Olive Lynch and Alice Hallin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Gilbert J. Patterson Sr. and Elizabeth T. (Stark). A lifelong resident of Scituate, a town she loved, Evelyn was a former two-term Scituate Selectwoman first elected in 1979 when she won her seat in a famous recount. Evelyn was completing her 3 year term as Constable. Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Wed, April 29 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate at 10AM. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers donations in Evelyns name may be made to The American Heart Association, 20 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701 and/or and Veterans Charity of ones choice.
