Jack Lee Norton who had been ill for the past year passed away at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital Saturday, February 21, 1959. Memorial services were conducted by the Bollman Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Presbyterian Church in Lostine, with Rev. Al Boschee officiating. Mrs. Orval McArtor and Melvin Crow sang "Near to the Heart of God" and "The Land of the Unsetting Sun," and Mrs. Melvin Crow was organist. Casket bearers were: Roger Nedrow, Eddie Glenn, Harold Thompson, Hubert Murrill, Dean Garrett, and Donnie Murrill, and interment was in the Lostine cemetery. Jack was born December 24, 1940 in Enterprise, and has lived in Enterprise and Lostine all of his life.
