Mrs Emma Bacon, aged 32, wife of Samuel Bacon, 2415 Chestnut avenue, died at 10 o'clock this morning at the Lutheran hospital of acute nephritis, after an illness of one week. Surviving are the husband, four children, Samuel, jr, Geraldine, Loraine and an infant child; the parents, Mr and Mrs August Scharpenberg; three sisters, Mrs August Meinzen and Misses Clara and Della and three brothers, Edward, Henry and Louis Scharpenberg.
The body will be taken to the home of the parents, 1214 Grand avenue, where funeral services will be held. The Fort Wayne Sentinel - May 18, 1923
