Funeral services for Frank THOMPSON, 74, who died at Woodlawn Hospital Thursday (August 3, 1950), will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Akron Church of God. Burial will be in the Akron IOOF cemetery. Thompson, who had been ill one week, was born April 28, 1876, the son of Abner and Suzanne (SWIHART) THOMPSON and all of his life had been spent in the Akron community. He was twice married, first [Aug. 28, 1895], to Liddy [SAYGER], who preceded in death. On Nov. 29, 1913, he was married to Tressa NICODEMUS, who survives. Other survivors are eight children: Mrs. Sarah [M. TRACY], Silver Lake; Clarence THOMPSON, Akron; Mrs. Goldie COOK, Chicago; Mrs. Eldon COX, Lawrence, Kans.; Mrs. Howard [FLEEGLE], Annelbank, Pa.; Mrs. Susanna ABBOTT, South Bend; Charles THOMPSON, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Mabel CLICK, Denver, Ind. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three children preceded him in death. The body will be returned to the residence from the Sheetz funeral home this afternoon where friends may call until time for services.
