Obituary:
SHELBY- Mrs. Annie Ray Jones Dodd, 92, of College Avenue, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, She was the daughter of the late Julius Troy and Buenah Holland Jones. Mrs. Dodd was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church where she sang in the Choir for fifty years. Mrs. Dodd also received a fifty year membership from the Daughter of American Revolution.

PRECEDED IN DEATH:. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband J.F. Dodd; a sister Aileen Gamble and a brother J.T. Jones Jr.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her son David Dodd and wife Alyssa; a daughter Ann Philbeck and husband Dean; and sister Frances Clay and husband George all of Shelby; and two grandchildren Lauren Philbeck and Elliot Dodd.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30, March 30, 2009 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

SERVICE: Services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Sharon United Methodist Church.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

CLERGY: The Revs. Robert Dodd and Joe Tarpley will be officiating.

MEMRORIALS: Memorials may be made to Sharon United Methodist Choir, 871 College Avenue, Shelby 28152."
