In Memory of my 7x great grandfather Reverend James Noyes born 1608, son of Reverend William Noyes & Anne Parker, sister of Rev Robert Parker. James Noyes married Sarah Brown, daughter of Joseph Brown of Southampton England. They came in March 1634 on the Mary and John with James Noyes' brother Nicholas Noyes and James and Nicholas Noyes' cousin Rev Thomas Parker. Rev James Noyes and Rev Thomas Parker established the First Parish Church in Newbury, Mass in 1635. May You and Your Family Rest In Peace.

In Memory of my ancestor Reverend James Noyes, son of Reverend William Noyes and Anne Parker. In "the descendants of Rev William Noyes, born England 1658........" Rev William Noyes married Anne Parker, sister of Reverend Robert Parker. James Noyes married early in 1634 in England Sarah Brown, daughter of Mr Joseph Brown, of Southampton England, and in March of 1634 left on the ship "Mary and John" with James Noyes' brother Nicholas Noyes and their COUSIN Thomas Parker. They settled in Medford, and then moved to Newbury, Massachusetts where they all were early settlers. In his Will, dated Oct 17, 1656, 5 days before his death, he mentions his wife Sara, his brother Nicholas Noyes and his Cousin Thomas Parker. Children of Reverend James Noyes and Sara Brown include: 1)Joseph born 1637 married 1st Mary Darrell, 2nd Mrs Mary Williams- Joseph died in Bermuda Islands; 2)James born 1640 married Dorothy Stanton- settled Stonington Conn; 3) Sarah 1641 -died young; 4) Reverend Moses born 1643, married Ruth Pickett; 5)John 1645, went to the Bermudas; 6) Thomas 1648 married Ruth Pickett, settled in Lyme CT; 7) Rebecca 1651 married John Knight-stayed in Newbury Mass 8) William 1653 married Sarah Cogswell; 9) Sarah 1656 married John Hale, of Beverly, Mass. Dear Rev. James Noyes. I am your G8 Grandaughter. Just recently I learned where I came from and it gives me great pride to know that my 8 Great-Grandfather played a huge part in this beautiful counrty. Thank you God keep you and all Noyes who have passed. I will carry our last name with pride.
