Mrs. Mary Wise Carter, age 82, of Salisbury went home to the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center.
She was born March 27, 1926 in Rowan County the daughter of the late Ellen Holder Wise and the late Frank Wise.
Mrs. Carter attended Rowan County Schools and worked in the 60's and 70's at Frank's Drug Store in Camden, SC and then moved back to Rowan County and worked as a houseparent at Nazareth Children's Home. She was a member of Rockwell United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death was her husband James Delton Carter on April 30, 1989.
Survivors include her 3 sons Greg Carter of Aiken, SC, Joseph Carter (Lori) of High Point and Richard Carter of Greensboro; grandchildren Courtney Baldwin of Clemmons, Kristen Carter of Wilmington, Todd Lysiak and Keeley Lysiak both of Greensboro and Delton Carter of Aiken, SC; great-grandchildren Nate Baldwin, Silas Baldwin and Charley Jackson.
Graveside Service: 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Camden, SC.
