Alexander Glenn Beard was born to James Willis Beard and Mary Jane Glenn. His first marriage was to Laura A. Brodie on April 15, 1909. They had 2 children. He then married Essie Irene Hunter on December 6, 1923 in South Carolina. They had two daughters. Alexander stood 6ft. tall, had gray eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion. He was a peace officer and enlisted in the Texas Rangers as a REGULAR RANGER on May 11, 1916, through March 15, 1919, as a private in company B, and transfered to company D when co. B was disbanded in June 8, 1918. He was honorably discharged. Alexander was the town marshal in Marfa, Presidio County, Texas. He was a bodyguard for an oil company in Tampico, Mexico. In 1930 he was an oil company superintendent, living in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. He worked for the Sinclair Refining Company in Fort Worth, Texas from 1932 until his death.
