Houston County Courier - Thursday - February 17, 2005 Obit for Geneive Ashmore, age 88, of Crockett, formerly of Belott, passed away Monday, February 7, 2006 in the East TX Medical Center-Crockett. Mrs. Ashmore was born July 26, 1916 in Houston County had had lived most of her lifetime in Belott until moving to Crockett. Mrs. Ashmore was a housewife and a member of the New Energy Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter Gorma Jean Smith and husband Alfred Lee Smith of Crockett; one brother; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by her parents Frank Johnson and Margaret Duren Johnson; and one brother. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Geneive Ashmore were held Thursday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m. in the New Energy Cemetery with the Rev. John Goss officiating.Callaway-Allee Funeral Home
