Althea Marie Anderson, 91, of Farmington, widow of Enar H. Anderson, passed away peacefully Saturday, (December 13, 2008). Born in Mansfield, June 1st, 1917, daughter of the late Louis and Grace (Mandell) Graham. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Charles W. House and Sons in Unionville and Connecticut General Insurance Company for 25 years. She was an avid Red Sox and UCONN Men's and Women's basketball fan and also enjoyed bingo and playing cards. Althea is survived by her two children, Rosalyn A. Terwilliger and her husband, Gerald of Farmington and Peter L. Anderson and his wife, Frances of Suffield; a sister, Doris DiBiase and her husband, Patrick of Bristol; five grandchildren, Linda Goehring, Robert Terwilliger, Thomas Terwilliger, Patricia Coe and Kenneth Anderson and five great-grandchildren, Kathleen Terwilliger, Christine Terwilliger, Melissa Goehring, Cameron Coe and Colin Coe. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Monday, Dec. 15 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. in The Ahern Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Althea's favorite charity, The National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Ave./Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL. 33136, in memory of her husband.
