Gregory Scott Bergeron, 47, a longtime Reardan resident, died Feb.1. Born Oct. 26, 1961, he graduated from Reardan High School and attended the University of Washington, where he explored two of his passions: history and philosophy. Remembered by family members for "the skills and gifted ability to teach," he spent several years in Colorado, working as a ski instructor. He continued to help on the family farm and eventually took the lead in managing the crops on an annual basis. "Every day of his life, no matter his current form of work, Greg continued his quest of learning, " a family statement noted. "He was an avid reader; he continued to seek knowledge of all forms. We will miss his smile, his music, his intelligence – we will miss him." His mother preceded him in death. He leaves his father, brother, two sisters, along with nieces and nephews. [Davenport Times; 2/12/2009; p. 3]
