Allen was born in Kentucky the son of Morgan Wireman and Sarah "Sallie" Allen and the granddaughter of John and Rebecca (Carpenter) Wireman and John and Nancy Jane (Click) Allen. On August 14, 1890 he married Eunice Allen the daughter of George Allen and Raney Salyer. Their children are; Adam Wireman, Luraney (Wireman) Mullins, Joseph Wireman, Sally Wireman (died young) Eva (Wireman) Moore, James Wireman, Sam Wireman, Clarence Wireman (died young) and Mary Wireman.
