A resident of Barberton, she retired from the Chamber of Commerce after 35 years of service and Barberton City Schools as secretary after 12 years of service. Melba was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, and attended the Barberton Christian Church for 30 years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Annie Grey; sister, Leota Dillon; brothers, Ray, Donald and Larry Grey; Melba is survived by her husband of 33 years, James; stepchildren, Derek Arnett and Robin Graham; seven step-grandchildren; brother, Floyd Grey; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., with Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barberton Christian Church, 375 E. Tuscarawas Av., Barberton OH 44203.
