Russel F. Stuart, 89, of Tonganoxie,, KS, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Providence Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 26th, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions to The American Heart Association.

Russel was born October 23, 1919 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He was an electrician and member of I.B.E.W. Local 124, working for Great Northern Electrical Company 35 years before he retired. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, and member of the VFW and American Legion Post 0041. Russel loved to farm, and he married his wife, Irene Stuart on March 23, 1974, who survives him.

He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Sheila Musselman and his brother, Raymond Stuart. Other survivors include 2 children, Donna Payne of Kansas City, KS, and Roger Stuart, Sr. of Shawnee, KS; 5 stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Arr.
