Myrtle was the daughter of Eugene and Mary Herrick. Her first husband was Eugene Brown. Together they had four children, Eugene, born in 1902, Viola, born in 1904, Norman, born in 1905 and Frank, born in 1908. They were then divorced. Sometime in 1916, Myrtle married Stephen Salem Choquette. They had two children, Phyllis, born in 1917 and Wallace, born in 1919. She died while giving birth to Wallace.
