Ellis -- Alfred Raymond "Fritz" Dreiling, 86, rural Ellis, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000 at his home. Mr. Dreiling was born Sept. 15, 1914 at rural Ellis.

He was a retired farmer-stockman and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis, and Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degree.

Survivors include his wife, Martha of the home; two daughters, Carol Halpern of Boulder, Colo., and Pamela DeNicola of Nova Scotia, Canada; a son, David of Ellis; four sisters, Irene Nierenberger and Anna Erbert, both of Ellis, Sister Evelyn Dreiling of Fond du Lac, Wisc., and Angelita Raymond of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis, the Rev. Kevin Weber officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Ellis. A rosary/wake will be at 7 p.m. at Wasinger Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis 67637.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School, Ellis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
