He was born in Janesville on March 16, 1929, the son of Louis and Mayme (Finley) McCarthy, had attended St. Patrick's Grade School and was a graduate of Janesville High School and Marquette University. Don served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Morse Code Specialist. He was active as a Realtor in the Janesville market for over 30 years working most recently for Shorewest Realtors. Don was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Elks Club, American Legion, was Past President of the Janesville Board of Realtors and enjoyed the game of golf. Donald died unexpectedly Monday, August 27, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
