Mrs. Jean Marie Avery Cain, 70, died Sunday (January 4, 2009) at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. after a lengthy illness.
She was a native and lived most life in Old Town, ME before moving to Waycross in 2002. She was daughter of the late Merle "Curly" Avery and Selina Russell Avery and was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Martin; a brother, Franklin Avery.
She was a homemaker and she had worked as a stitcher in shoe factories in Maine for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
The survivors include her husband, Andrew Cain of Waycross; four daughters, Victoria Cade (husband John) of Blackshear, GA, Susan Anderson (husband Gary) of Grandy, NC, Karen Cain of Waycross and Terri Hatch (husband ) of Bangor, ME; four sons, Donald L. Ouellette (wife Melanie) of Townsend, MA, Mark Joseph Ouellette (wife Renee) of Yuma, AZ, Matthew Scott Ouellette of Searsmont, ME and David Cain (wife Sheila) of Maysville, NC; ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Martin (husband Pete), Patricia St. Louis (husband Joe) both of Old Town, ME and Maggie Gallant (husband Ed) of Pensacola, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
