Dear Walt, We are so sorry to hear about our loss yesterday. Our many dinners together, sharing a laugh, a cold beer, and good times with the cool dinner friends shows we truly live the American Dream. You and Di are a special part of our lives and we will always cherish these good times. See you on Sunday. Bud and Jo Hastings

My life is better for having known such a sweet lady as DI. Her love for Walt, life, family, and Heidi was unequalled. Her memories will help us remember that smiles and attitude help the world be a better place.

I write to offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends on the passing of your love one. When unforeseen occurrences befall us and the enemy death strikes our grief can be great. It also may seem unfair that sickness, which can cause death, has the power to take away someone that we love Yes, it is at times like this that we need comfort and support whether we are acquainted or not. I have found the Bible to be very comforting in this regard. At Revelation 21: 3, 4, our Heavenly Father has promised in the near future that "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Our Heavenly Father has also promised that there will be a resurrection: "and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous..." What a grand reunion that will be! You and I have the prospects of seeing our love ones again under the best condition possible, a beautiful Paradise earth; God's original purpose for mankind. All of God's promises will come true, for it is impossible for Our Heavenly Father Jehovah to lie. I pray that these scriptures prove to be a source of comfort. Once again, you have my sincere condolences –Acts 24:15, Psalms 37:29, Luke 23:43, Hebrews 6:18.

Throughout the years of working together and sharing daily commutes, I came to know my wonderful friend, "Di." She was so professional, honest, caring, and supportive, and a genuine friend. Her incredible strength in personal challenges was inspirational to me. What resonated the most from our multitude of conversations over the years was that she deeply loved her husband, Walt, and her family, including her dogs, the late Anheuser and Heidi. I ache with the thought that she's passed, but I know that she is in God's care now, still smiling. Because of her, "our world" is a much better place, and I love and miss her.

I am so sorry for your loss. I feel so blessed to have known Diane. Her smiling face, positive attitude and caring nature was felt and enjoyed by everyone around her. I was so lucky to be at Diane and Walt's house during the holiday....the house was a true tribute to the Christmas season...I've never seen anything like it....every little treasure was placed with such love....She will be greatly missed but the joy she brought everyone will never, never be forgotten....Love to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was fortunate to have known, and loved, Diane for over 28 years and was even "present at the creation" when she and Walt were first introduced. Whenever we all got together, she was unfailingly in good spirits - except, maybe, when her Chiefs were doing poorly on any given Sunday afternoon. She and Walt complemented each other so well and each was truly crazy about the other. Walt, my friend, you are a much poorer man today and my thoughts are with you and the many members of Di's family. I'm sorry I couldn't have been with you at this sad time in your lives but I know you understand.

It has been many years since we last saw Diane and are deeply sorrowed for Walt and the Wittman family. I always admired Diane for her accomplishments in work and life and that wonderful warm smile that you could always depend on. What a loss, but I can feel her smiling down on all of us as she is arms of our Heavenly Father.

To Walt and family; Our dearest thoughts and sympathies are with you at this time. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by all of us who had the pleasure to spend any time with her. The flowers in the Spring will miss Di as much as we will miss seeing her lovely gardens. The Summer events will miss Lady Di's laugh and good nature as much as we will miss visiting with her in her driveway. The trick and treaters will miss her costume outfits for Anchieser or Hiedi as much as our kids loved getting "extra's" from Walt and Di. I don't think anyone will ever forget her Christmas trees or her Christmas spirit and we won't forget Di. She will be greatly missed.

Walt - we are so sorry for your loss . . . my most favorite memory of Diane is having my young daughter come to your annual garage sale and having Diane give her stuffed animals and being so kind to her when she was still struggling to learn the value of money and count out her coins. Please know you are in the thoughts and prayers of all your neighbors and friends.
