Alma A. Angell, 105, of Osage, died Thursday, Dec. 11, at Faith Lutheran Home, Osage.

She was born Dec. 1, 1903, near Osage, daughter of Bryon and Mabel McLean Loney. She married Merlyn W. Angell on Aug. 23, 1925, at Little Brown Church, Nashua. He died in 1989.

Mrs. Angell and her husband farmed near Osage until 1961. She taught for several years in area country schools and was the sixth person nationally to sign up as an Amway distributor. She was a member of United Church of Christ, Osage.

Survived by: three sons, Mervel "Duke" (Neva) of Osage, Glen (Helen) of New Hampton and Keith (Carmen) of Charles City; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Church of Christ, Osage, with inurnment in Osage Cemetery. Fellowship will follow the service at the church. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
