Rita served in the US Army for 20 years, serving 3 tours in Germany, but most of her time was on Recruiting Duty in the Indianapolis area. She was the daughter of leo Gallion and Bessie (Wollard)Heflin. She had been a Janesville resident since the late 1970's folling her retirement from the Army. She loved gardening, riding with her dog in the golf cart; and she always had a wood or craft project going. Rita is survived by her life partner, Holly Losching of Janesville; son Matthew(Lorie) Barnett of Marion,Il; 2 grandsons, Ronald and Daniel Barnett; special niece, Vickie Powers of Fort Wayne,In; special friend, George Barnett of Marion,IL., as well as other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Marjorie Powers and Joanne Gallion; and brother, Donald Gallion.
