Mary was married to Arthur F. and was the Mother of Robert and Brenda (White). She was a Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

She worked as a waitress until she met Arthur and then became a Wife and stay at home Mom.

She was my next door neighbor for many years and a close friend.

Mary is buried with Arthur's ashes in the same grave.

A short story about Mary & Art.

My dear friends that were neighbors for 45 years.
They were truly good friends. Arthur was a Barber by trade and Mary was a
waitress when they met. Both struggling to get by in those hardship days.
Arthur would go to the Restaurant where Mary worked and sit by one of HER
table's and order the same sandwich & coffee every day. After a week went by
Mary told him he shouldn't be eating the same thing everyday that he needed
some vegetables in his diet. Little did she know at the time that he
couldn't afford anything else. Business was bad and he was just barely
surviving himself. He wanted to ask Mary out but he had no money. He was
falling for her and afraid some other fella was going to ask her out so
after talking for a while he told Mary how he felt and as soon as his
business picked up he would take her out on a date. In those days the man
asked not the lady BUT Mary had fallen for Arthur too. One day when he came
in for lunch Mary slipped him a piece of pie and it had a note under it
saying-"I get off at 3:30 PM if you want to meet me we will go to the park
and eat a picnic dinner-I have the food-if the answer is no-put the fork on
the plate-
if the answer is yes leave your fork off your plate-and you can pick me up
at the bus stop." Where Mary worked they had strict orders not to date the
customers. WELL little did Mary know Arthur did not have a car! They both
lived near by and the park was only several blocks away so they walked to
the park.
They married the next year and were married over 50 years. Had two children.
They kind of struggled all their life but at least they had each other.
Arthur was cremated and his ashes are buried with his beloved Mary.
