She was the most valuable player of the Manassa-Romeo pool league. Carla enjoyed playing pool, camping, fishing, gardening, 4 wheeling with her grandchildren, and joking with family and friends.
Survivors include her mother Mary Gallegos-Valdez of Manassa; daughters Kendra (Alifonso) Baroz of La Jara, Colo, Charlotte Campbell of Denver and Wynona Campbell of Manassa; one son Richard (Tammy) Campbell of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren Mercedez, Aaliyah, Isaiah Baroz and Amelia Campbell; sisters Joann G. de Petrizzi of Chicago, Ill, Marilyn (Edgar) Ramirez of Denver and Cynthia (Josh) Valerio of La Jara; brothers Oliver (Larice) Gallegos of Phoenix, Ariz, Chris (Marcie) Gallegos of Denver and Amos (Victoria) Gallegos of Pueblo, Colo, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carla was preceded in death by her father Joe R. Gallegos and sister Sandra Maestas.
A vigil service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Mon, Nov. 17, 2008 at 7 pm at St. Theresa's Church in Manassa. A funeral service will be held on Tue, Nov. 18, 2008 at 10 am at St. Theresa's Church in Manassa. Interment will follow at Los Cerritos Cemetery in Manassa. Arrangements are in care of Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa.
