He is survived by wife Abi Solomon Adkins (married Dec. 16, 1986) of Irving; sons Dale Adkins of Katy, Texas; Randall Adkins of Grand Prairie; daughter Kim Boykin and husband James of Glen Heights; step-son Terry Seale and wife Shawna of Lewisville; sisters Emma Ruth McIntosh of Florida; Jewel Inez Hailey of Red Oak, Texas; Mary Nell Adkins of Duncanville, Texas; Shirley Ann Adcock of Venus, Texas; 6 grandchildren; and 6 step grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 7, 2008 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Parlin officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Hawkins Cemetery in Hawkins, Texas with Rev. Don Majors officiating. If desired, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
