On behalf of DOROTHY and STANLEY PACKER, who were great fans of your music and of ballroom dancing, and their old friend "SQUIB" (Cyril Slowley) in England. My mother DOROTHY A. PACKER, [nee 'Dolly' Eatwell], danced with American USAF servicemen in Birmingham and Bearwood, Smethwick in the 1940's. R.I.P. Glenn.

Glenn, your music always made my Grandfather, HW Stahr, smile even when he was partially paralyzed from a stroke. He was also a band leader in the 30's. Your music inspired him so! He and my grandma would dance to your music even into their 80's. Thank you for that and for making the world a better place for a short time! I means a great deal and you made a difference.

For Capt. Glenn Miller - wishing you a very happy 4th of July in Heaven! You were taken far too soon, but I'm sure you're missed and loved by your family and friends. You brought your famous music and comfort to soldiers stateside and in combat areas, never letting the bombs stop you and the Army Air Corps band. I hope you remember my Daddy; you always remembered him and had great times together, even if they were short. I have a few photos of you together and I'll post them whenever I find them again. I wouldn't be celebrating if not for men like you who helped the morale of the men who fought - and gave absolutely everything for my freedom. Your contributions were fabulous. Thank you and God bless you, Sir. With honor and respect, the proud daughter of an honorably discharged veteran of the USAAC, WWI,
