1. "In his 17th year he came to America. He married twice, begat 3 children by
his first wife and 4 children with the second wife. He died of a burning fever".
[Source of this is unknown. Was on a family group sheet believed to have come
from Lu Ann (Mrs. Charles) Ringle of Lomira, Wisconsin in 1987, and addressed
to Frank Carnahan. This is also the source of some of the names & dates for
Andreas Ringle/Ringel and his son Matthias Ringle & families.]

2. Northampton Co. Land Warrants 1734-1769, FHL microfilm #021686.
5 June 1746 - Andreas Ringel of county of Bucks. 50 acres "adjacent land of
Hans Roathrock, situate in Saucon Twp., Bucks Co."
[Hans Roathrock appears as "John Roodrock", #89, following the
entry for Andreas Ringel (#88), in the source mentioned in the following note.
The family name was mainly spelled ROTHROCK.]

3. CD #PS00 - "First Landowners of Pennsylvania: Colonial and State Warrant
Registers in the PA Archives, Harrisburg, 1682-1940." Published by Ancestor
Tracks, 2005. Under Bucks Co., p. 66 of 96 - #88 - Andreas Ringel, 50 acres,
Warrant 5 June 1746. Survey returned 26 Jan. 1819 by John Garnet (Patentee).
Recorded Vol. H, No. 16, p. 389. Survey copied Bk. C 184, p. 136. Saucon Twp.
[Lower Saucon Twp. is now in Northampton Co. & Upper Saucon Twp. is now
in Lehigh Co. Lehigh Co. was formed in 1812 from Northampton Co.
Matthias Ringle, son of Andreas, lived in Northampton Town, in Allen Twp.,
Northampton Co. See notes under Matthias Ringle.]

4. The location of the land of Andreas Ringel/Ringle was likely near Saucon
Creek, in the area around Hellertown, south of Bethlehem, in Northampton Co.
The actual survey drawing has not been seen, however.

5. "Philadelphia Co. Births, 1644-1765" by John T. Humphrey, 1994.
Reference #8, for St. Michael's Luth. Church, Phila., has birth for Catharina
Margaretha Ringel, d/o Andreas Ringel & Anna Elisabeth, on 1 Jan. 1747.

6. There was a Martin Ringle mentioned in a 1773 Northampton Co. Will for
Michael Flores of Upper Milford Twp., naming his daughter Catherine as wife
of Martin Ringle. It is believed that this Ringle is the same person as Martin RING,
who died in 1811 in Grayson Co., Virginia. Was this another son of Andreas
Ringel? [Copy of the Will of Martin Ring contributed by Donn Neal.]
