Arthur L. Barber, 71, of Louisville, KY, died Thursday, May 31, at S. S. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. at O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home. A memorial Masonic service was held Sunday evening, June 3, at O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Barber was a native of Aspen Hill, TN, and a former resident of Ardmore, TN. He was a retired foreman for International Harvester, a member of the Third Avenue Baptist Church and an inactive deacon. He was also a member of the Plumb Masonic Lodge. Mr. Barber was the son of the late Gus H. Barber and Lillian J. Barber. He was a brother of the late Tommie B. Watson, Robert Linus Barber, John Ike B. Hargrove, Patty Will B. Jutz, and Shelly B. Parker.

Survivors include his wife, the former Merdess Lewter; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Harbin and Mrs. Twili Welty; two brothers, William Earl and Edward Wilson Barber; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of Louisville, KY.

Active pallbearers were Sam Watson, Thomas Parker, Dwayne Hargrove, Ronnie Barber, Denny Roe Barber, Jimmy Barber.

Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Parker, Jimmy Barber, Kevin Barber, Ricky Barber, Ronald Barber, Bobby Watson, Robert "H."
