FLAT TOP - Azel Paris Green, 81, of Flat Top, Mercer County, died Sept. 17, 1999, in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired miner and a member of the UMW. He was a longtime resident of Flat Top and was a Baptist.
Surviving: wife, Glenna Wills Green; sons, Darrell Denver Green and Donald David Green, both of Flat Top; brothers, Johnny Green of Mabscott, Howard Green of Beckley; sister, Ethel Fitzwater of Crab Orchard; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring, with the Rev. Oppie Lilly officiating. Burial will be in Tom Lilly Cemetery, Ghent. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
