Buford was born on June 13, 1944, in Clovis, N.M., to H.L. Chamberlain, Jr. and Joyce Clifton Chamberlain. He was raised in Levelland and graduated from Levelland High School. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Houston. He married Jan Berry. Buford fought a gallant battle with cancer and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Thank you all for your calls, cards, letters and prayers.
Buford is survived by three daughters, six granddaughters, one grandson, his mother, and two sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
