Son of Christen Anderson Christensen Glad and Karen Marie Jens Datter.

C.J. Christensen was born in Vensyssel Denmark on May 4, 1867. He came to America at age 13 with his parents. They settled in Audubon County in Iowa. C.J. married Sophie Anderson on August 15, 1889. They farmed in Iowa until 1914, when they moved to Minnesota. They bought the Eiler Thompson farm in Diamond Lake where they lived until 1934. C.J. Died December 15, 1934. Sophie then moved to Lake Benton wher she lived until 1940. She died March 11, 1940. There were ten children in the family, one daughter (Twin to Carrie Christensen) died as a child at 7 years old.

DIAMOND LAKE MAN STRICKEN SUDDENLY
C.J. Christensen passed away suddenly Wednesday evening at his home in Diamond Lake. Mr. Christensen had been enjoying usual good health and was at work about the farm yard at the time of his death; death was believed do to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held from the home Saturday 1:00 o'clock and from the diamond Lake church at 1:30.

An obituary of the deceased will be published in next week's issue of the News.
