A. CLAIR BAKER
Mr. Baker, 89, of Duncansville RD died at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 1986, in Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, after an extended Illness.
Mr. Baker was the former owner and operator of a feed mill in Duncansville, and retired from the Hollidaysburg Area School District in January 1966.
He was born Nov. 4, 1900, in Duncansville, the son of Charles Z. Baker and Mary Jane (Brown) Baker, and Oct. 24, 1923, married Mary E. Yeckley, who died March 19, 1968.
Surviving are six children: Audrey, at home, Doris Bristow of Duncansville, Mrs. Ruth Baker of Flagler Beach, Fla.; Betty Campbell of West Loop, Hollidaysburg, Warren of Tyrone RD and Glenn of Middletown, Md.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Alma Hammaker of Tyrone RD.
Mr. Baker was a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Frank Yeckley Sunday School Class.
He was a life member of the Duncansville Fire Department.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Dun-cansville.
BAKER - Services for A. Clair Baker of Duncansville RD will be held at 11 a m. Wednesday in the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church Chapel, by the Rev. Bruce Hackman.
Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home Inc., Duncansville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to them Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church memorial fund or Home Nursing Agency.
