Frank Joseph Desero Jr., 73, of Goodells, Michigan, died December 8, 2006 at Mercy Hospital, Port Huron.

He was born August 29, 1933 in Port Huron, the son of the late Frank and Bessie Kivel Desero Sr.

His marriage to Barbara Recker was July 20, 1957 in Port Huron and had been a 40 year resident of the Richmond area.

Frank served his country with United States Marines during the Korean conflict from 1952 to 1955.

He was employed by Grand Trunk Railroad for 15 years and recently for Ford Motor Company. He had worked at the Utica and Mt. Clemens plants and retired from the Chesterfield plant in 1995. Frank enjoyed his trucks, yard, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife Barbara of 49 years were a son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Amy of Ira; four daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Don Seidel of Richmond Twp., Cathy and Howard Huffman of Richmond, Tina and Steve Potter of Goodells and Mary and Tom Kaliszewski of Wales; 15 grandchildren, Sara (Josh) Mills, Danielle, Desiree' and Derick Seidel, Abby Shaw, James Skoryanc, Arika, Adriell and Ariana Desero and Bethany and Thomas Kaliszewski; stepgrandchildren, Howard Huffman, Steven, Josh, Hunter and Deven Potter; two greatgrandchildren, Chloe and Ellie Mills; five brothers, Donald George, Francis, Thomas and Robert Desero; five sisters, Jean Carpa, Barb Wittekind, Mary Orr, Peggy Standish and Dorothy Aleva; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His brother, Frederick preceded him in death.
