I never had a chance to meet my Great, Great Uncle. But from everything I heard about him he was a loving, caring man, and a wonderful Father, Grandfather, Uncle and all around person.
He was born Robert Edward Lee Waller in Mount Vernon (Posey), Indiana on November 19, 1898 to Lee Waller and Martha Ferlines. Robert was one of 6 children; Carrie Cabble, Ulysses Simpson Waller, Theodore Roosevelt "Peanuts" Waller, Grant Waller, and Della Cooper. He also had another brother, his name was CPL. Johnnie Waller. In 1919 he married Migonette L. Wynn and from this union 8 children were born; Calvin Waller, Martha Waller, William Waller, Jeanette (Waller) Dimmitt, Kathleen Augusta (Waller) Steward, Robert E. Lee Waller Jr., Eva Beatrice Waller, and Leona (Waller) Jennings.
He died at the age of 66 and is laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Mount Vernon (Posey), Indiana.
