Mom - you would have been amazed at the information I have found on the family since your passing. Your Grandma's family from Sweden!! Two of your Gr Aunts lived in Ruthven! I wish I could tell you all about them. They passed away before you were born, but are buried in Crown Hill Cemetery.I miss you.Mary

Mom, I think of you so many times every day, and I miss you so much. You would have been proud of the way we represented you in Ruthven. You would have laughed so much if you could have seen us with our cousins, and you would have been so pleased at how we cruised around the state, fulfilling our promise to you...you wanted us to take a few days to enjoy being together. So we did, and it was wonderful. We even saw John Wayne's birthplace. Later, Mary found out that we are related to him--who knew! We would have paid more attention if we'd known it then. Thank you for all you did to help me become the women I am today. I am happy and content with my life. Love, Nancy

We made a promise days before you passed away that the following year we would bury your ashes in your home state. It was a wonderful pleasure to meet up with my 3 sisters and a niece in April, 2008. You would have enjoyed knowing that we reunited with cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends in your honor. You finally came to rest in the soil of Ruthven Iowa. Next we'll meet at The River.
