Malle Harrison Burgess, 91, of Springdale, died July 16 at his home. Born July 12, 1890 in Madison County, he was the son of Doc Franklin and Clarice Jane Dotson Burgess. He was a member of the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Inman Burgess to whom he was married Feb. 21, 1929, in Madison County; a son, Duell Burgess of Springdale; two stepsons, Noel Easterling of Springdale and Olen Easterling of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Lester Loarine Yeager of Lowell and Mrs. Imogene Wilcox of Butler, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, July 18 at 2 p.m. in Sisco Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Garrison and the Rev. Luther Jones officiating. Burial was in the Huntsville Cemetery.
