Musician. He was a saxophonist and founding member of the Dave Matthews Band. He joined the band in early 1991. Lead singer Dave Matthews credited Moore with arranging many of his songs, which combined Cajun fiddle-playing and African-influenced rhythms. His playing style can be heard on songs such as "Too Much", "What Would You Say" "Say Goodbye" and "Cry Freedom." He died of complications from injuries sustained June 30, 2008, in an all-terrain vehicle accident outside Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2024, he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Dave Matthews Band.
