But the California US Death Index, immigration records, baptism record and the Irish 1901 Census all list 1884 as a birth year. In addition, the Ireland Civil Registration Index has his birthday between April-June 1884 and the Veteran's Administration lists the specific date of April 15 1884 and list the town of birth. The date on his memorial has been changed to reflect this new date.
