HILLIARD, MARY REBECCA, 48, of Stanley was killed instantly Oct 25, 1988 when the car she was driving veered off U.S. 340 about 4 miles north of Elkton and slammed into a row of 3 mailboxes. A post that supported the first mailbox went through the car's windshield and struck Mrs. Hilliard in the head. Mrs. Hilliard was born Nov. 11, 1939 in Page County and was a daughter of Nellie Shifflett Foltz of Luray and the late Ralph (Bill) Foltz. She was raised in the home of Paul & Nellie Blakemore of Stanley, who survive. Surving beside her mother and the Blakemores, are a son, Paul Randolph Donovan of Stanley, 3 daughters, Dianna Sue Alger, Gail Elizabeth Donovan and Penny Rene Hendrick (?) all of Stanley; a brother Wayne Foltz of Elkton; a sister Janet (Janice) Robinson of Maine and 2 grandchildren. Burial will be in Hilliard Chapel cemetery of Stanley.
