Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel F. Heusler, 81, of R. D. 1 Penn Yan, who died Wednesday, were at 2 p.m. today in the DeVaney Co. Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Manzelmann of the North Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. Bearers were David Heusler, Gerald Heusler, Jr., Edward and Douglas Smith, Kirk and William Chambers, all grandsons of Mrs. Heusler. (Geneva Daily Times, June 22, 1968)

Mrs. Hazel F. Heusler, wife of Fred Heusler, of RD 1, Penn Yan, died Wednesday evening in Geneva General Hospital following a long illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the DeVaney Co. Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Manzelmann of the North Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Heusler was born in Clifton Springs and has resided in Geneva for over 75 years. She is the daughter of the late Clark and Mary Sheehan Francis. Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Beatrice) Smith, of Rochester, Mrs. Guy (Dorothy) Chambers of Waterloo, Mrs. James (Rosemarie) Barrett of Brazil, and Mrs. James (Jean) Kelley of Gulf Port,Miss; three sons, Donald of Penn Yan, Gerald of Clifton Springs, and Frederick of Haywood, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Snook of Geneva and Mrs. Helene Cholet of Norfolk, VA; 29 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
