Abe was a son of Benjamin Fry(e) and his first wife, Ruth Courtright. Abe was a twin to Isaac Fry. He married twice. First he married Miss Catharine Markley, eighth of twelve children born to Adam Marklee/Markley, Jr. and Mary M. Dickensheets. Abe and Catharine were wed on March 15, 1810 in Muskingham (now Coshocton) County, Ohio. They had five known children, all sons. Catharine passed away in 1826 in Ohio. Abe then married Catharine Deamude/Dennwood on March 15, 1827 in Licking County, Ohio. Their union produced nine children; six sons and three daughters.
