Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Sue Swinford Barnes, age 93, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her late husband Claude Barnes. Mrs. Barnes passed away Wednesday evening at Lincoln Skilled Care.
A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Barnes was a daughter of the late Davis and America Jane Towry Swinford, and was a member of the Camargo Church of Christ.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by four brothers: Euledge, Hosea, Elgie and Hurley Swinford and four sisters: Daisy Swinford, Pina Mae Swinford, Staci Goode and Zela Barnes.
