W.C. Cawthorn, aged 50 years and a resident of this city for several years, during which time he had made a wide acquaintance, died at home home on East Howard avenue this morning at 4 o'clock following a long illness. He was highley respected citizen of this city. Survived by wife and one daughter. The funeral was held this afternoon near Keller avenue. Services conduct by Rev. H.F. Tole, pastor of the Methodist church of which he was a member. with interment made in Biloxi cemetery. The numerous friends of the family will be grieved to learn of the death of this well known citizen.l
