Margie Arlene (Thayer) Feuring was born Sept. 4, 1927, in Owasa, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Edna (Lamb) Thayer. She graduated from Owasa High School in 1945. After graduating from high school she worked at Newberry's Five and Dime and Sanitary Dairy in Iowa Falls.
Margie married Rudolph "Rudy" Feuring on April 24, 1946 in Owasa. They started their lives together in southern Iowa. After Rudy passed away in 1978, Margie moved to Clear Lake in 1989 to be closer to her children. In 1992, Margie became a resident of Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.
Margie loved to garden and spend time with her family. She was a long time member of the Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school and held various positions in the WSCS of the Methodist church. She was a 4-H leader for three years while living in Marble Rock.
