Mayodan - William Davis Bullins, 95, of Washington St. Ext., went to be with the Lord April 19, 2000, at Morehead Nursing Center, Eden.
He was born March 14, 1905, in Patrick County, Va., a son of Henry Clay and Harriet Mabe Bullins, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Manuel Bullins; two brothers, Tom and Russell; and two sisters, Hallie and Nannie.
Surviving are a son, Otis Davis Bullins of Mayodan; three daughters, Elisie Stanley of Stoneville, Phyllis Wray (Alson) of Trinity and Mary Ruth Wilkins (Raymond) of Madison; six grandchildren, Lester Stanley, Debra Honeycutt, Steve Wray, Sandra Wilkins, John Horton, and Eileen Combs; seven great-grandchildren, Kristin Burns, Kelly Burns, Leah Horton, Heather Honeycutt, Allison, Tracy and Nicole Combs; two brothers, Cecil Bullins of Madison and Raymond Bullins of Winston-Salem; and three sisters, Della Flynn of Lexington, Beatrice Woods of Madison and Mary Wright of Rocky Mount, Va.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ray Funeral Home Chapel by Brother Paul Sisk. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
