U had 2 B damm good 2 be given command of 1 of the precious brand new heavy frigates 44's whose motto was "Faster than Stronger, and Stronger than Faster." and was a Battle-Ship Cruiser when other nations built Cruiser type frigates and suffered accordingly. USF Constitution was a sister. They used 24 pounders at longer ranges as upposed 2 the 18 lbs. employed by the RN. RIP Commodore J. Barry, Son of Erin, and US Revolutionary.

To Commodore Barry,As a devout Irish Catholic and student of history, you are an inspiration to me. You rose from penury and poverty to help a fledgling nation gain its independence. Yet you forgot neither your roots nor your religion. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anamSlanMaggie
