HICKORY - Wanda Rose Scales Robbins, 70, of Hickory, died September 25, 2003, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Born June 19, 1933 in Champaign, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Rose Bryant Scales.
A member of West Hickory Baptist Church, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Tex Robbins of Dothan, Alabama, Danny and Linda Compton of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Everett Robbins of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Jerry and Jamie Robbins of Conover; two daughters, Sara Bryant of Valdese and Jean Robbins of Mount Holly, and a sister, Grace Jay of Champaign, Illinois.
The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Fred Thompson and Robert Warren at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at West Hickory Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will be at Bass-Smith Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
