Marion W. Archer, 56, of Parkersburg, passed away February 23, 2004 at her residence surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law and her sisters Charlyn and Lura. She was a daughter of the late Charles and Wanita Rinehart.

Marion worked for the Youth Advocate Program and was a member of the First Christian Church in Parkersburg.

Surviving is a daughter Lisa Keffer Hunt and her husband Joe of Parkersburg, 3 sisters: Charlyn Ransbottom and her husband Roy of Easley, SC, Lura Russell and her husband Bill of Parkersburg, and Patty Bradford of South Carolina. 4 grandchildren of whom she was a loving mamaw: Joey and Jeffrey Wallace of Parkersburg and Amber and Ryan Archer of Washington, a brother-in-law Jim Archer and his wife Judy of Parkersburg, 2 sisters-in-law: Donna Carter and her husband Lou of Parkersburg, and Necia Metzger and her husband Pete of Virginia, and her mother-in-law Ruth Lyons of Vienna. She will be greatly missed by her friends including Florence Farnsworth of Parkersburg and Jack Terrell of Lubeck.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marshall Lee Archer and a brother, Richard "Barney" Rinehart.

Memorial services will be Saturday 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church, 1400 Washington Avenue Parkersburg, Pastors Mike Goff and Tim Burch officiating. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 PM in the church parlor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 4451, 3901 Briscoe Road, Parkersburg, WV 26104-4451. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is in charge of arrangements.
