Edna Irene Garrett, 90, a homemaker, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at a Fort Worth care center.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Edna was born April 23, 1917, in Girvin. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Smith. She married Glen Thomas Garrett on Dec. 23, 1932, and together they had five children. They lived in Newark for many years, attending First Baptist Church of Newark. They then retired to South Texas, where they loved to fish and play dominoes. She had a great love of God and family and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; sons, Ron and Fred; daughter, Wanda; and granddaughter, Suzanne.

Survivors: Sons, Bobby Garrett of South Korea, David Garrett and wife, Doris, of River Oaks; sister, Velma McClellan of Houston; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
